Revisiting Darkness
Notice any difference in the cover of Darkness and the Devil Behind Me? Probably not. It's rather subtle, if I say so myself.
The cover now includes this new symbol. It's the logo for Blood Vintage Press. What, you might ask, is Blood Vintage? It's the new imprint that will be carrying my historical mysteries. (I still have this grand fantasy of establishing a publishing empire based upon my humble scribblings. Yes, I know it's far from reality. But a girl can dream, can't she?)
The new version of Darkness and the Devil Behind Me doesn't just carry a new logo and reviewer comments, however. Reduced to 5" x 8" (from 6" x 9"), it's also reformatted to be smaller and fit better into pocketbooks and backpacks.
Plus, there's an excerpt from what's planned as the next Lanie Price mystery, Black Orchid Blues. (I'm still struggling with it. More on that later.)
What d'ya say? You like it? I'm quite happy with the new format. Amazon is listing both versions right now. I've just written to it to ask it to switch all reader reviews to the new version, which I plan to eventually "take out of service."
