How Time Flies
It's hard to believe that three weeks have gone by since I last wrote anything here. What's happened in the meantime? Financial aid forms, tax forms, real estate, efforts to publicize Darkness and the Devil Behind Me, attempts to finish the sequel ... Hours upon hours spent digging up receipts, making lists, calculating and recalculating, and then trying to decipher questions that don't apply to us: what a nightmare. There were days when I could barely put two thoughts together, much less do any calculating or deciphering. Most of it is done. Thank goodness. Then there's the real estate, the running back and forth, the worrying, the hoping that all goes well.
The publicity efforts have been uneven. Some days quite a bit; some none at all. I had a terrible row with a horrible woman at one of the online magazines. She listed herself as a book reviewer under the rubric "Contact Me," but when I did, she complained about it. Horrid person.
However, another couple of folks have offered to do reviews. I've sent off one copy already and must send off another tomorrow.
I've also fallen quite a bit behind in doing the free audio book version of the book. Maybe I can upload two chapters this weekend. Wouldn't that be nice?
I've not only been working on the next in the Lanie Price series, but working on the new cover. I really like it -- so far.
I've been quite remiss in filing my column at Crime Sistahs also, so I'm going to go over there and write one right now.
Another three weeks won't pass before I write here. I really enjoy it. It's relaxing.
