A Monstrous Disease That CAN Be Defeated

In surfing the Internet the other day, I happened upon this photo. Stunned, I promptly forgot about what I'd been looking up and followed the link attached to the picture. One site led to another. Eventually, I landed on the Secure Our Children site, and there I read about "Noma." How was it that I'd never heard of this evil, voracious disease before? Noma is horribly disfiguring and fatal. It accompanies malnutrition and literally eats away a child's mouth, cheeks, nose and so on, quickly consuming the face. Most of its victims are very young and many don't survive.
